War Yoga Peace stands to welcome Americans whose lives have been touched by war, to provide methods and support their reconnection with their own inherent and inviolable goodness. As a sort of reverse-boot-camp, the institute fulfills the civilian side of the social contract we signed each time a service member swore the oath to defend the Constitution. The institute strives to learn from our national experiences with war. We honor the sacrifices by striving to loosen the seeds of war from our individual characters.
War Yoga Peace envisions a program which integrate self-inquiry, virtual reality, spirituality, yoga, storytelling, and meditation.
We are looking to build Team War Yoga Peace. Currently, our only member is the founder, Barry Peterson. If you would like to work with us, please contact us below.
I am an army veteran and former VA employee. I want to address gaps I see in the mental health care for military-connected individuals. In brief, I think our service members and families deserve a ‘reverse-boot-camp’, so that they have the best chance for experiencing the peace they served to give fellow citizens.
